I think if you are against taxes in general, like an anarcho capitalist, then I can understand.
But just being against carbon taxes because they are carbon taxes?

@AstralSentient firstly it has no benefit! Look at alcohol taxes.....people still consume alcohol no matter what. Secondly I said REASONABLE taxation.....when people and businesses feel comfortable

@Toshi Not really a valid point, negative externalities work better on businesses because they are all about cutting costs, while a person consuming alcohol isn't considering it especially when they have an addiction.
Negative externalities being taxed is quite beneficial to society, and is easily a reasonable accommodation

The 'socialist' point is just a straw man, I could say all taxes are socialist by that logic.
