need to study for my finals

2019-05-24 01:38:22 UTC

Yeah but what is it though?

2019-05-24 01:38:23 UTC

Anyways peace and love

2019-05-24 01:38:32 UTC

gravity is the influence and warping effect that mass has on space

2019-05-24 01:38:35 UTC

an object has a mass, and mass attracts other mass, and we can measure the force between the masses

2019-05-24 01:38:46 UTC

like a marble on a tarp

2019-05-24 01:38:46 UTC

Yeah but what actually is mass?

2019-05-24 01:38:47 UTC

mass itself is able to be measured in kg

2019-05-24 01:38:56 UTC

How do you measure mass?

2019-05-24 01:38:56 UTC

What is this discord about. I was just sent here.

2019-05-24 01:39:02 UTC

mass is the measure of how much something *is*

2019-05-24 01:39:12 UTC

how much what is?

2019-05-24 01:39:21 UTC

how much of it is there

2019-05-24 01:39:26 UTC

what is it?

2019-05-24 01:39:29 UTC

So if it wasn' the FBI or a HIllary minion, then who was it?

2019-05-24 01:39:36 UTC

whatever you're measuring

2019-05-24 01:39:38 UTC

Is this a science discord or something

2019-05-24 01:39:50 UTC

well there's various ways to measure mass, if you want to know you can google. If you want the 2 second answer, measure the newtons exerted by it with a force meter and divide the force by 9.8

2019-05-24 01:40:37 UTC

when you try to break up words, you come to a point where language doesnt do its job as well as it should. Mass is mass. Its the amount of matter in an object

2019-05-24 01:40:48 UTC

a more massive object has more inertia. So, in one sense, mass determines how hard something is to accelerate

2019-05-24 01:41:07 UTC

Are you seriously saying Trump is actually behind all this? He would never do that

2019-05-24 01:41:18 UTC

it's quite easy to push a beach ball. Very hard to push a cannonball of the same size

2019-05-24 01:41:22 UTC

are you seriously saying trum is behind anything?

2019-05-24 01:41:24 UTC

How do you know it is a force and it has to be divided by 9.8?

2019-05-24 01:41:30 UTC

omg trumpss

2019-05-24 01:41:31 UTC

1

2019-05-24 01:41:47 UTC

9.81 is the gravitational constant of earth. it changes by each planet

2019-05-24 01:41:53 UTC

@Volvox What's gravity?

2019-05-24 01:41:54 UTC

9.81 m/s^2

2019-05-24 01:42:06 UTC

We just went over this, its the warping effect mass has on space

2019-05-24 01:42:08 UTC

It changes by each planet. They know this from all the planets they've visited.

2019-05-24 01:42:15 UTC

Oh wait....

2019-05-24 01:42:19 UTC

Gravity is hypothetical

2019-05-24 01:42:21 UTC

@Volvox What's mass?

2019-05-24 01:42:31 UTC

well human sheeple, there is always an axiom or starting point that we take for granted when we think about anything. To talk about anything you need to start somewhere. We start by defining physical units such as a kg, a newton, a candela, etc

2019-05-24 01:42:46 UTC

There is only one electron in the universe, it's just everywhere at the same time. That's why electrons all have the same spin and in the same order

2019-05-24 01:42:51 UTC

F = G*((m sub 1*m sub 2)/r^2

2019-05-24 01:42:54 UTC

we come up with consistent ways to measure those qualities of an object, and go from there

2019-05-24 01:43:02 UTC

Gravity formula

2019-05-24 01:43:03 UTC

So, that is the axiom for a graviton @Wiggles ?
