well there's various ways to measure mass, if you want to know you can google. If you want the 2 second answer, measure the newtons exerted by it with a force meter and divide the force by 9.8

it's quite easy to push a beach ball. Very hard to push a cannonball of the same size

well human sheeple, there is always an axiom or starting point that we take for granted when we think about anything. To talk about anything you need to start somewhere. We start by defining physical units such as a kg, a newton, a candela, etc

we come up with consistent ways to measure those qualities of an object, and go from there

@Human Sheeple really... come on man. When you immerse an object in a fluid there's a buoyant force. Every object on earth's surface also has a gravitational force acting on it. In the case of balloons, the buoyant force actually wins.
