hello, i am wiggles
but that's my youtube name
for christ sakes @Derek Nelson it's 2019, don't you realize if the roads were a kilometer above ground they'd converge way above the horizon
if the table obscures the dominos, then no, it isn't
or if it obscures the car wheels, the table isn't flat
i can conceive of a table not being flat
yeah and when i use flat surfaces, i can't hide objects behind the flat surfaces
you and me on a perfectly flat gym floor @Derek Nelson . Stand somewhere where i can't see your shoes, and put my eyes anywhere above the floor you want
it's a game you'll always frigging lose because i'll always have a straight line from my eye to your shoes
and in fact i WILL always see your shoes
so then the table isn't flat
don't you get this?
there's half the CN tower disappearing.
you go ahead and try and prove a surface is flat without optics, then you demonstrate an object being obscured by that surface, then you have a point
i can hear you goy yes
foolish discord connection
looks like discord is disconnecting me
I've solved the debate. Is earth flat or round. Earth is. There. We can all agree Earth is.
Earth simply is.
If you try and separate gravity from mass like that, then you really should come up with a reason why there is gravity
mass is measured in kg
an object has a mass, and mass attracts other mass, and we can measure the force between the masses
mass itself is able to be measured in kg
well there's various ways to measure mass, if you want to know you can google. If you want the 2 second answer, measure the newtons exerted by it with a force meter and divide the force by 9.8
a more massive object has more inertia. So, in one sense, mass determines how hard something is to accelerate
it's quite easy to push a beach ball. Very hard to push a cannonball of the same size
well human sheeple, there is always an axiom or starting point that we take for granted when we think about anything. To talk about anything you need to start somewhere. We start by defining physical units such as a kg, a newton, a candela, etc
we come up with consistent ways to measure those qualities of an object, and go from there
@GandalfTheGreen why do you want to know?
then great
well you can convert mass into light, or you can convert potential energy into electrical energy and then into thermal energy
there are loads of ways to convert one unit into another by building machines or contraptions to do so
@Human Sheeple really... come on man. When you immerse an object in a fluid there's a buoyant force. Every object on earth's surface also has a gravitational force acting on it. In the case of balloons, the buoyant force actually wins.
every object on earth's surface has at least 2 forces acting on it. buoyant force, and gravitational force
we are immersed in AIR don't forget
air exerts a buoyant force on us
@Human Sheeple you were just asking what gravity and mass are
@Human Sheeple why are you asking a question if you already know an answer?
human sheeple, infinity is not a number so already your question makes no sense
@GandalfTheGreen if you think there's no such thing as gravity go jump off a really tall building. bye
