2019-05-22 04:04:44 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

hello, i am wiggles

2019-05-22 04:06:19 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

but that's my youtube name

2019-05-22 04:07:26 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

for christ sakes @Derek Nelson it's 2019, don't you realize if the roads were a kilometer above ground they'd converge way above the horizon

2019-05-22 04:10:05 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

if the table obscures the dominos, then no, it isn't

2019-05-22 04:10:21 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

or if it obscures the car wheels, the table isn't flat

2019-05-22 04:11:01 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

i can conceive of a table not being flat

2019-05-22 04:11:20 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

yeah and when i use flat surfaces, i can't hide objects behind the flat surfaces

2019-05-22 04:11:57 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

you and me on a perfectly flat gym floor @Derek Nelson . Stand somewhere where i can't see your shoes, and put my eyes anywhere above the floor you want

2019-05-22 04:12:14 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

it's a game you'll always frigging lose because i'll always have a straight line from my eye to your shoes

2019-05-22 04:12:38 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

and in fact i WILL always see your shoes

2019-05-22 04:13:33 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

so then the table isn't flat

2019-05-22 04:13:37 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

don't you get this?

2019-05-22 04:14:06 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

there's half the CN tower disappearing.

2019-05-22 04:14:43 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

you go ahead and try and prove a surface is flat without optics, then you demonstrate an object being obscured by that surface, then you have a point

2019-05-22 04:46:59 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

i can hear you goy yes

2019-05-22 04:48:23 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

foolish discord connection

2019-05-22 04:50:55 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

looks like discord is disconnecting me

I've solved the debate. Is earth flat or round. Earth is. There. We can all agree Earth is.

2019-05-24 01:36:24 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

Earth simply is.

2019-05-24 01:37:40 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

If you try and separate gravity from mass like that, then you really should come up with a reason why there is gravity

2019-05-24 01:37:55 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

mass is measured in kg

2019-05-24 01:38:35 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

an object has a mass, and mass attracts other mass, and we can measure the force between the masses

2019-05-24 01:38:47 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

mass itself is able to be measured in kg

2019-05-24 01:39:50 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

well there's various ways to measure mass, if you want to know you can google. If you want the 2 second answer, measure the newtons exerted by it with a force meter and divide the force by 9.8

2019-05-24 01:40:48 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

a more massive object has more inertia. So, in one sense, mass determines how hard something is to accelerate

2019-05-24 01:41:18 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

it's quite easy to push a beach ball. Very hard to push a cannonball of the same size

2019-05-24 01:42:31 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

well human sheeple, there is always an axiom or starting point that we take for granted when we think about anything. To talk about anything you need to start somewhere. We start by defining physical units such as a kg, a newton, a candela, etc

2019-05-24 01:42:54 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

we come up with consistent ways to measure those qualities of an object, and go from there

2019-05-24 01:43:38 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

@GandalfTheGreen why do you want to know?

2019-05-24 01:43:49 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

then great

2019-05-24 01:44:39 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

well you can convert mass into light, or you can convert potential energy into electrical energy and then into thermal energy

2019-05-24 01:45:02 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

there are loads of ways to convert one unit into another by building machines or contraptions to do so

2019-05-24 01:46:23 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

@Human Sheeple really... come on man. When you immerse an object in a fluid there's a buoyant force. Every object on earth's surface also has a gravitational force acting on it. In the case of balloons, the buoyant force actually wins.

2019-05-24 01:47:11 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

every object on earth's surface has at least 2 forces acting on it. buoyant force, and gravitational force

2019-05-24 01:47:21 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

we are immersed in AIR don't forget

2019-05-24 01:47:35 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

air exerts a buoyant force on us

2019-05-24 01:48:08 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

@Human Sheeple you were just asking what gravity and mass are

2019-05-24 01:48:27 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

@Human Sheeple why are you asking a question if you already know an answer?

2019-05-24 01:49:57 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

human sheeple, infinity is not a number so already your question makes no sense

2019-05-24 01:51:29 UTC [The Ice Wall #lounge]

@GandalfTheGreen if you think there's no such thing as gravity go jump off a really tall building. bye
