well, i wouldnt have much on an opinion about it being a lie, although its most likely not

but the thing is

people have found random plane debris around that gulf-like area

madagascar, africa, australia

i think some even reached the americas

but it seems that the pilot was knocked out, or killed mid-flight

so the plane was kept at a steady straight line off its original course, and then they supposedly ran out of gas

however, their location on radars was anonymous after some time the pilot was “knocked out”

its a really interesting story
