@harry#2372 Stop or you're banned the very next time-

2019-06-05 20:20:24 UTC

I just made a rainbow indoors without glass.

2019-06-05 20:21:32 UTC

Don't believe you

2019-06-05 20:21:40 UTC

What light source?

2019-06-05 20:21:52 UTC

just a sec, I'll upload a pic. in my office, indoor lighting.

2019-06-05 20:21:55 UTC

no sun

2019-06-05 20:21:57 UTC

Was there a mirror present?

2019-06-05 20:22:08 UTC

I used a CD.

2019-06-05 20:22:12 UTC

oooo

2019-06-05 20:22:27 UTC

oh man my boi drewski is on the case

2019-06-05 20:22:34 UTC
2019-06-05 20:22:39 UTC

A CD creates a prism effect

2019-06-05 20:22:45 UTC

yes

2019-06-05 20:23:01 UTC

That's not how you're supposed to do it.

2019-06-05 20:23:02 UTC

no glass though

2019-06-05 20:23:03 UTC

cd foil is like cheating

2019-06-05 20:23:05 UTC

and standard lighting

2019-06-05 20:23:12 UTC

That is definitely cheating

2019-06-05 20:23:17 UTC

how is it cheating?

2019-06-05 20:23:23 UTC

how is that cheating

2019-06-05 20:23:36 UTC

It creates a prism effect that would not be present otherwise

2019-06-05 20:23:36 UTC

OH because it works

2019-06-05 20:23:38 UTC

Duh

2019-06-05 20:23:43 UTC

refraction of light is the goal.

2019-06-05 20:23:56 UTC

Without artificial influence

2019-06-05 20:24:00 UTC

Which you gave

2019-06-05 20:24:19 UTC

the foil is not a uniform surface it has colorations by themanufacturing proces which is oily or rainbowish,

2019-06-05 20:24:46 UTC

Which makes it a void experiment.

2019-06-05 20:24:54 UTC

the foil cast a rainbow on my desk. This is the same process actual rainbows go though.

2019-06-05 20:25:04 UTC

then i can use a colidascope

2019-06-05 20:25:09 UTC

well, yes.

2019-06-05 20:25:14 UTC

sure i guess

2019-06-05 20:25:27 UTC

A CD can create a rainbow without water.

2019-06-05 20:25:30 UTC

again it is a projection of the surface then

2019-06-05 20:25:33 UTC

That's literally cheating

2019-06-05 20:25:40 UTC

you don't NEED water to create a rainbow.

2019-06-05 20:25:47 UTC

you need a material that refracts light.

2019-06-05 20:26:11 UTC

was the goal to specifically use water?

2019-06-05 20:26:28 UTC

Is that so? Then do it without a CD.

2019-06-05 20:26:33 UTC

the rainbow should be the light in the medium being refracted, not due to the coloration of the medium

2019-06-05 20:27:16 UTC

ivo, how is it being colorized?
