I guess that would make sense biblically speaking
Eating fruit alters our mind too doesn’t it? We feel satisfied and good.
That isn't altering your mind, that is a small amount of dopamine
Plus, we should give glory to God for the food we eat anyways
Dopamine is a chemical that alters our mind.
The fruit itself does not contain the dopamine
It triggers the release in our brain.
Nor does it actually possess any mind altering chemicals in it
It does trigger the chemical to be released in our brain. It’s what makes us feel good. A reward system for survival.
lol, there's a difference between enjoying some food and getting high
Plants aren’t food?
?
not all plants are food
Yes but actually no
What plants aren’t food?
Grass
lol
hemlocke
You can’t use grass in a tea?
i mean, it would taste awful
Doesn’t mean it isn’t digestible.
plenty of poisonous plants.
Are we talking about what we see as digestible here?
Cause that's a whole different thing from what we see as being food
Different cultures have different meanings and food even so
We often eat plants for different reasons. For example, I ate a dandelion today. Not for the taste, but because it’s good for me.

You mean straight from the field or
well, if you eat hemlock, you will die
Totally.
genesis 1: 29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
i don’t smoke weed but theres also verses about using wine to get closer to God
I’ve never had hemlock. However I can’t think of any plant that hasn’t been purposed for our benefit.
that verse was before the world became cursed
similar thing really. its not what you partake, its how you partake. “drunkenness” is a state of trying to forget yourself. you can use weed or wine to come closer to God
no, you must not alter your mind.
thats just not biblical
