minecraft was such wasted potential. i was in the original 4chan threads when he was pitching the game to us. notch had lofty plans for the game, to give it an expansive story mode and make it an action rpg. then he just left us, started posting on reddit, then his goals shrunk dramatically. abandoning his promises, he decided to add a couple fetch quests, a secret level, and then bailed after selling it. 🙄
