NewsPunch is a Los Angeles-based fake news website that frequently spreads conspiracy theories and political misinformation mixed in with real news stories.

Stories pushing the debunked Pizzagate conspiracy theory.[15][16] NewsPunch was one of the first sites to propagate the conspiracy theory, publishing a falsified story that was later used as a basis for Pizzagate's viral spread among the alt-right.[17]
Claims that the 2017 Las Vegas shootings and Manchester Arena bombings were false flags.[18][19]
Anti-vaccination hoaxes alleging that Bill Gates refused to vaccinate his children[20] and "admitted that vaccinations are designed so that governments can depopulate the world".[21]
Claims that Hillary Clinton's popular vote victory in the 2016 United States Presidential election was the result of voter fraud.[22]
Allegations that Clinton was responsible for Anthony Bourdain's suicide.[23]
False claims that Justin Trudeau was the love child of Fidel Castro.[9]
Poynter analysis identified NewsPunch as being debunked over 80 times in 2017 and 2018 by Poynter-accredited factcheckers such as Snopes, FactCheck.org, PolitiFact, and the Associated Press.[5]
“NBC NEWS: Hillary Clinton covered up pedophile ring,” a false headline on dc-populist.com reads. A June 19 YouTube posting of the NBC report used the same headline and has accrued more than 200,000 views.
It noted that one of those investigations dealt with an allegation of pedophilia, but the report did not say that Clinton “covered up” a “pedophile ring.”
But the underlying claims made against an ambassador were never substantiated, and neither the news report nor the department watchdog said that Clinton had “covered up” a “pedophile ring.”
