When Adam and Eve fell from grace and were kicked out of the garden we are told ALL creation fell with them. In the garden you never read about Natural disasters, death, animals eating one another, or diseases. All of this occurred AFTER the fall. By one man (sin entered the world and all of creation fell with him) Adam made the choice to not obey God and because of his choice (There is that word again, CHOICE) we now have death, disease, natural disasters, birth defects etc. The important take away here is that NONE of this happened in the garden this all occurred after our fall. Our ancestors made a choice to not obey and now we must (for a time) suffer the consequences of that choice. If God were without mercy as you claim then we would be forever stuck with the consequence of that original act of disobedience that brought this calamity upon us. God is merciful, kind and loving he MADE us a way to return to him that does not break his laws, Jesus. He sent his only begotten son to come and die for the sins of the world so that we could all be reconciled to him. Through this sacrifice we can inherit the kingdom of God upon earth and be with our creator eternally. What must we do now, Uncle? Again, we are presented with a choice. Accept Gods gift of eternal life and reconciliation or we can continue to act in disobedience. At the end of the day it is a choice we must all make. God is not a rapist, or a fiend, who is going to FORCE us to choose him, he wants us to make that choice for ourselves. He is waiting, Uncle.

Well, my opinion stands, being punished for having the opinion that God isn't real is pretty biased.

It isn’t God that punishes us when we don’t believe. We do it to ourselves, (and not on purpose.) it’s merely a result of living that isn’t inquiring of the truth.

Well, God is the one sending you to hell if you reject him.

It isn't the cops and legal system that punish you for robbing the store, its yourself.

Even if the cops and legal system don’t get us, our own souls do. They become empty. Because God can’t restore a soul that continue to live how he desires it.
