Humans are gmo
@spiritualVapor somaRaSa excellent points
Figures
I just heard a round up company in Europe got sewed a massive amount of money for their products causing cancer. Im gonna try to find a link for anyone interested
Interested
had trouble finding the European case but easily found some others
I don't know how to make like the web link things so ill just post the urls
One from Canada
some in californa with that article too
the IARC (the International Agency for Research on Cancer) is saying its most likely carcinogenic
Apparently the big one Bayer is even in my state, ouch
Even CNN is taking the side against round up
more successful lawsuits. this time someone accidently sprayed themselves with it and got sick. Then a scientific experiment was performed and it showed that it may also cause another diesease, https://www.businessinsider.com/monsanto-roundup-liver-disease-cancer-2019-5 . man rip round up
I don't think round up is going to be around in 5 years
oh apparently Bayer is a worldwide company thats actually german. So I guess the lawsuits are against european companies but from other places in the world. Yeah I don't think Roundup is going to be around much longer unless Bayer can handle all of multi billion dollar lawsuits coming out at them. Although this one is a little more supportive of Roundup they still go against it too https://metro.co.uk/2019/05/15/round-weedkiller-linked-cancer-us-still-sale-uk-9554688/ I think this is enough source data about the topic so I'm going to stop posting
the alternative media is more likely to have suspicion on subjects
Russia has at least made a good regulation on GMOs, like Japan did
maybe we can introduce environmental tariffs
I mean gmos can be good but unfortunately most of them are modified to resist pesticides which encourages use pesticides which is bad. But like some of them are good. Diabetics who couldn't produce insulin used to have to take insulin from animals but when scientists used recombinant technology to place an insulin producing gene into ecoli they could produce insulin much more cheaply and efficiently. The problem is is that farming companies place the toxin resistant and pesiticide resistant genes into crops which encourages use of these which are both bad for the environment but more importantly are bad for human beings
on this, I would still prefer selective breeding over transgenics. As transgenics is riskier than selective breeding
I mean yes but we cant always get a trait we want through selective breeding whereas if we use transgenic we can choose any trait. But yes. Its not clear when that trait goes into the organism if when consumed its bad for thr consumer.
then there's also genetic modification where crops create their own pesticides, not to mention that. As there has been research showing what long term effects will be on animals. Although animals are not the same as humans, the used animals in the studies are mammals. Look for anything familiar to the situation we live in right now, with multiple medical crises in cases of chronic illness.
think about it, manmade toxic food
Yep welcome to business operated genetic engineering
it's preferable to use multiculture in agriculture, since that's more sustainable than monoculture
Wtf
THC is the main psychoactive component in marijuana; it’s what causes the user to feel high, and often increases appetite. If you’re like me, you might be asking the obvious question: If THC has medicinal benefits, why do we need to make a synthetic version of it in order to to treat people? And the answer, in my opinion, is clear: Because you can’t patent cannabis and capitalize on it.
all about the money!!! always is !!!!!!!!!!
I am pro gmos. Anyone want to debate?
What do you think about eating gmo salmon meat that has been dyed red using red dye pellets
