because they dont care, because it doesnt affect them now, while it may not have been a terrorist act, it was enough to motivate the country to take action and support the middle eastern operations, in which was to bolster the american economy by securing trade deals, resources, and to basically fund a war that would keep on being an economic point in the american system. It was to justify something that wouldnt normally get an overwhelming approval from the people but would secure a stronger economy by gaining resources. It was a win situation at the expense of middle eastern extremists who want the death to america because of their extreme belief in their religion that believes that women are property and on a daily basis promotes crude punishment to many parties. like sure theres some spill over into civilian and property damage but at the same time they refused to promote a healthy relationship with the US in an extreme fashion, look at them now.
