I think its rather interesting that no one has yet told me why I can fly from New Zealand to Spain and when I continue in a straight line I arrive back in New Zealand.

If earth would have been flat that is not possible unless you believe in some sort of teleportation borders, but the flat-earth theory is mostly about ice walls or something

Which is probably an analogy for the north and south pole, where if you yet again fly from the north pole to the south pole and then continue in a straight line, surprise surprise, you arrive at the north pole again.
