Theoretical never proven

2019-09-24 20:46:35 UTC

No it hasn't

2019-09-24 20:46:53 UTC

They flew an atomic clock around

2019-09-24 20:47:03 UTC

It made an error

2019-09-24 21:18:30 UTC

They’ve had to make adjustments to clocks in GPS satellites in order account for time dilation. It’s why your GPS does send you 200 miles off course.

2019-09-24 21:23:59 UTC

atomic clocks are designed to be extremely precise. the uncertainty of atomic clocks is something along the lines of 1 second every 30 million years
if you can't rely on that kind of precision, you can't rely on any instruments available on the market because I can assure you that they will be less precise at doing wtv they were designed to do.

2019-09-24 21:24:15 UTC

So they say

2019-09-24 21:25:13 UTC

but then why believe the precision of instruments you use (unless you built them yourself)

2019-09-24 21:28:03 UTC

also, it'd be a pretty big coincidence that the error be predicted by a completely inaccurate theory

2019-09-24 21:30:09 UTC

Awful lot of coincidences.

2019-09-24 21:36:08 UTC

Ok explain to me how the sun speeds up or slows down when your clock speeds up or slows down

2019-09-24 21:36:21 UTC

Have you seen the sun speed up?

2019-09-24 21:36:47 UTC

Why is the sun speeding up?

2019-09-24 21:37:04 UTC

You guys are saying time dilated

2019-09-24 21:37:23 UTC

So that means the sun is going faster

2019-09-24 21:37:38 UTC

How much faster did you clock the sun?

2019-09-24 21:38:06 UTC

Why does this make the sun go faster?

2019-09-24 21:38:14 UTC

Did the sun speed up?

2019-09-24 21:38:51 UTC

Did you witness retardation of a clock?

2019-09-24 21:38:55 UTC

That’s not how it works....

2019-09-24 21:39:07 UTC

hi

2019-09-24 21:39:20 UTC

I think he's referring to the fact that we divided time according to the sun

2019-09-24 21:39:23 UTC

Which time dilation you speaking of? Relativity or gravitational?

2019-09-24 21:39:46 UTC

Huh

2019-09-24 21:39:57 UTC

You are dumb

2019-09-24 21:40:09 UTC

@demonwarrior2266 your name is against the rules

2019-09-24 21:44:02 UTC

that's how we divided it, but if the earth exploded, someone in a spaceship would not stop aging

2019-09-24 21:44:56 UTC

They do age slower in space than here on earth tho right

2019-09-24 21:45:30 UTC

depends on things like speed and gravity

2019-09-24 21:45:46 UTC

Wasnt there that one astronaut with a twin brother who is like 3 minutes behind coz he sayed in the iss

2019-09-24 21:46:15 UTC

So the sun is static?

2019-09-24 21:46:38 UTC

well the sun moves around the galaxy

2019-09-24 21:46:41 UTC

The sun doesn't nove?

2019-09-24 21:46:42 UTC

Yea

2019-09-24 21:46:48 UTC

Is anything really stationary

2019-09-24 21:47:14 UTC

So does the sun move faster when you put your atomic clock on a plane

2019-09-24 21:47:18 UTC

Lol

2019-09-24 21:47:36 UTC

So there is no such thing as time dilation

2019-09-24 21:48:09 UTC

Its nothing
