gravity

2019-10-01 17:53:07 UTC

if an object has enough mass, it attracts objects around it

2019-10-01 17:53:10 UTC

^

2019-10-01 17:53:34 UTC

a large enough asteroid could draw in debris from around it and gain mass, therefore increasing it's gravitational pull

2019-10-01 17:53:50 UTC

the cycle would continue until there isn't any mass in the area and the planet is formed

2019-10-01 17:54:21 UTC

the planet would be round because gravity is a field, hence it reaches out in every direction and gets progressively weaker

2019-10-01 17:54:30 UTC

meaning that the earth would be round

2019-10-01 17:54:42 UTC

that's how the "globe" earth was formed

2019-10-01 17:54:46 UTC

according to science

2019-10-01 17:55:32 UTC

FEers challenge the legitimacy of gravity.

2019-10-01 17:55:37 UTC

yeah

2019-10-01 17:55:40 UTC

i'm aware of that

2019-10-01 17:55:58 UTC

but @H8mz88 was questioning how the "globe" earth was formed if gravity existed

2019-10-01 17:56:10 UTC

yeah ?

2019-10-01 17:56:26 UTC

yeah

2019-10-01 17:56:31 UTC

yep.

2019-10-01 17:56:32 UTC

"how is the globe earth formed"

2019-10-01 17:56:45 UTC

so ?

2019-10-01 17:57:03 UTC

so?

2019-10-01 17:57:08 UTC

i just explained it to you

2019-10-01 17:57:35 UTC

alright thx ?

2019-10-01 17:57:52 UTC

the reason I use gravity as a way to challenge the flat earth theory is because it's a sound theory, and hasn't been disproven yet

2019-10-01 17:57:56 UTC

you're welcome, i guess

2019-10-01 17:58:46 UTC

There's two other explanations for gravity that I've heard. One, I'm not permitted to discuss here, as it's considered propaganda from a controlled opposition, and two, is density / buoyancy, where objects that are more dense than air are forced downward.

2019-10-01 17:59:19 UTC

propaganda?

2019-10-01 17:59:35 UTC

and forced downwards where?

2019-10-01 17:59:50 UTC

forced downward relative to our position on earth.

2019-10-01 18:01:05 UTC

so what about the sun then?

2019-10-01 18:01:35 UTC

like, why isn't it forced downward, too?

2019-10-01 18:01:38 UTC

and that's a similar theory to gravity, but without the universal application that gravity has

2019-10-01 18:01:43 UTC

how does it move?

2019-10-01 18:01:51 UTC

if you say it does

2019-10-01 18:01:58 UTC

and what about the other planets?

2019-10-01 18:02:00 UTC

and the moon?

2019-10-01 18:02:52 UTC

it's a cosmic mystery - all lights in the firmament. No one can say what they really are. FEers will tell you they don't know.

2019-10-01 18:03:24 UTC

ah

2019-10-01 18:03:37 UTC

do you know what the moon and sun are for sure? have you been to either?

2019-10-01 18:03:46 UTC

i'll be honest, it's impossible to completely debunk the idea of a flat earth

2019-10-01 18:03:49 UTC

of course not

2019-10-01 18:03:52 UTC

but i've seen both

2019-10-01 18:04:14 UTC

That's the reasoning behind this.
