einstein was ignored till one of his predictions showed to be correct

2019-10-11 18:19:06 UTC

u first need to show ur hypothesis has merit before they care

2019-10-11 18:19:27 UTC

yea

2019-10-11 18:19:41 UTC

also there is a yt series called the world science festival

2019-10-11 18:20:17 UTC

its not actually a yt series but u can find it all on yt

2019-10-11 18:20:39 UTC

they have people working on the stuff try to explain it

2019-10-11 18:20:42 UTC

or have talks

2019-10-11 18:20:46 UTC

quite interesting stuff

2019-10-11 18:27:14 UTC

yea

2019-10-11 18:27:52 UTC

but quantum theory seems far fetched for normal people while its already being used in microprocessors today and in future for quantum computers as well

2019-10-11 18:28:18 UTC

well its classical irony

2019-10-11 18:28:34 UTC

but its less denying as completely understanding it

2019-10-11 18:28:59 UTC

often they have misunderstandings of how things are supposed to work and come to wrong conclusions which they then debunk

2019-10-11 18:29:27 UTC

i see this in fe videos a lot

2019-10-11 18:30:09 UTC

people not udnerstanding how things are supposed to work on a globe with the mindset of how it should work on a flat earth or not understanding gravity and then debunking there own misunderstanding

2019-10-11 18:31:17 UTC

like with the rocket pictures that show rockets starting and then going in 45° angle this is on purpose and on globe its perfectly normal since they follow the curve but on a flat earth it looks like they crash down somewhere

2019-10-11 18:31:51 UTC

well for QM u just need knowledge and be able to use the math then u can apply it

2019-10-11 18:31:58 UTC

yea

2019-10-11 18:32:25 UTC

newtonian physics was never wrong just an aproximation for our size basically

2019-10-11 18:32:32 UTC

*approximation

2019-10-11 18:33:15 UTC

and gr then showed the more general theory which also encompasses newtonian as approximation in certain areas

2019-10-11 18:35:04 UTC

true

2019-10-11 18:35:14 UTC

and the more u know the bigger the puzzle seems to get

2019-10-11 18:35:47 UTC

i really like what dunning and kruger found

2019-10-11 18:36:05 UTC

yea

2019-10-11 18:36:13 UTC

u dno what u dno

2019-10-11 18:36:22 UTC

but if u learn more u also learn more about what u dno

2019-10-11 18:37:15 UTC

yea

2019-10-11 18:37:38 UTC

you see this so often on the internet for example

2019-10-11 18:37:59 UTC

but always be aware that u urself are also prone to make those mistakes

2019-10-11 18:38:15 UTC

this stuff applies to everyone

2019-10-11 18:38:20 UTC

u need effort to counter it

2019-10-11 18:38:25 UTC

same with most biases

2019-10-11 18:38:47 UTC

1. step is to know it exists tho

2019-10-11 18:39:58 UTC

like with the authority experiment from milgrim. If i never heard about it i would have less chance to being able to recocnize it once i come in such a situation.

2019-10-11 18:40:30 UTC

if i will recocnize it is a different story tho

2019-10-11 18:43:57 UTC

yea i have seen it

2019-10-11 18:51:01 UTC

true. i seen that with myself and came to the conclusion that i shouldn't combine my knowledge/beliefs with my ego

2019-10-11 18:51:07 UTC

i try to see them as independent
