How many times would I get stabbed if I yelled "the earth is a globe" during a flat earth rally?

2019-10-12 18:50:42 UTC

None

2019-10-12 18:57:21 UTC

Im pretty sure they'd murder me

I have a question for flat earthers. If the Earth is truly a flat disk, why is it that I cannot see Mount Everest from my current home in the United Kingdom? Surely the height of the peak would be big enough to see from even 4,606 miles? Unless less miles are required seeing as the Earth is one flat disk and it would require a smaller amount of miles seeing as I am not going over a curved shape.

@Zyk̨͛͑y̭͢a̫k̯̰̂ its so far away you wouldnt see it.

2019-10-12 19:45:27 UTC

Unless you got high up and had a infinite zoom lens and there was no atmosphere

2019-10-12 19:46:00 UTC

No, I'm pretty sure I would. You can see the Great Wall of China from space right? The great wall doesn't amount to half of the height of Mount Everest.

2019-10-12 19:46:02 UTC

We are limited by atmospheric density, if there were no particles in the air we could see as far as we want and the sun would never set. Providing we were high enough altitude

2019-10-12 19:46:42 UTC

@Zyk̨͛͑y̭͢a̫k̯̰̂ that's looking back at the earth😂 you cant see forever with the human eye. The earth is huge. And the flat earth is even bigger

2019-10-12 19:46:54 UTC

If you wanted to see something youd still have to get closer

2019-10-12 19:47:10 UTC

Then how would you explain the shifting of the contenents?

2019-10-12 19:47:19 UTC

And the great was isnt big it is long, and it cant really be seen from space because no images of earth from space are real

2019-10-12 19:47:38 UTC

Alfred Wegner's theory on contenential drift?

2019-10-12 19:48:33 UTC

How would you explain convection currents deep underneath the "Flat-Earth's" crust?

2019-10-12 19:49:19 UTC

Does the Flat-Earth have a mantle? I doubt it would have a core seeing as cores are usually described in the context of spheres.

2019-10-12 19:51:06 UTC

@mjones You say that it can't really been seen from space becuase no images of earth taken from space are actually real, but what about the moon's rotation around the Earth?

2019-10-12 19:52:01 UTC

Also, if the sun really goes around the earth in order to create the "day and night effect" are you suggesting that the geocentric model of our solar system is correct?

2019-10-12 19:52:25 UTC

I am quite curious to learn about this philosophy of yours...

2019-10-12 19:52:40 UTC

earth is flat

2019-10-12 19:53:10 UTC

Where is your empirical evidence on that scientific claim you have just created?

2019-10-12 19:53:21 UTC

I can make a claim too. The earth is round,

2019-10-12 19:53:34 UTC

the earth is furry

2019-10-12 19:53:41 UTC

feet

2019-10-12 19:53:42 UTC

it has textures

2019-10-12 19:53:45 UTC

it has eyes

2019-10-12 19:53:48 UTC

I know this because when ships sail across the sea, they go from bottom to top.

2019-10-12 19:53:57 UTC

it has ears

2019-10-12 19:54:04 UTC

it has ear wax, duh!

2019-10-12 19:54:38 UTC

Suggesting that the Earth is round and since the Earth goes around the sun, The Earth must be rotating counter clock-wise to spin from East to West

2019-10-12 19:54:53 UTC

the earth is flat

2019-10-12 19:55:23 UTC

don't judge

2019-10-12 19:55:37 UTC

@HMM SOFIA I really do not think you are in the correct place to be debating on the form of the planet.

2019-10-12 19:56:03 UTC

why does form matter, we're all equal right?

2019-10-12 19:56:06 UTC

You make claims with no empirical evidence, data, warrants, or reasoning.

2019-10-12 19:56:26 UTC

I don't think you clearly understand my contention.

2019-10-12 19:56:41 UTC

And quite frankly, I do not understand yours.

2019-10-12 19:56:50 UTC

then why are you in discord instead of researching, huh?

2019-10-12 19:57:02 UTC

Earth=round

2019-10-12 19:57:12 UTC

shouldn't you be devoting ur time and space to research LOL

2019-10-12 19:57:30 UTC

That is the same question I'd like to ask you. I have already done the research. You haven't I am only debating here because I have done the research.

2019-10-12 19:57:33 UTC
