Tourism means that anyone can buy a ticket, ISS select a chosen few that had money that's not tourism thats just bs.
putting a team of researchers on the moon will be far more fruitful to scientific discovery and development than remote controlling a robot. But we don't really know the biological effects of the levels of cosmic radiation on the human body for long terms on the moon
so there is more research that can/needs to be performed regarding radiation and shielding for humans on the moon
If I had a billion dollars to spend to go to space tomorrow. It wouldn't be possible, my only option is to go on one of those high altitudes jet.
or just become an astronaut or cosmonaut
through russia, america or other countries
**Selected by NASA**
It simply costs way too much to actually go to space.
More mass = $$$$
Ya so what nasa is the american space agency
the ISS orbits very close to the Earth and so the ISS still has the luxury of Earth's magnetic field as a layer of protection. But the Earth's magnetic field is significantly weaker on the moon, so less protection from cosmic radiation
who else would select their astronauts
besides italy and germany, UK have astronauts
not selected by nasa
there's no option for a billionaire to go to space unless you send a message to nasa.
ya that's just not true
Ok do you expect them to just let you on a rocket without precautions?
Russia used to
It’s not commercial yet
You would think after 50 years of going to the moon you would get space tourism and advanced tech. Seems like a lot of baloney to me.
Ever heard of Virgin Galatic?
show me the economics that makes you say that
and the physics and technologies that would make that happen
my point was that it's not impossible to get thru the van allen belt and it's not impossible to get back to the moon. It's just that in today's political climate, things are much more complicated and filled with "things to do" if we were to go back.
Yes, I did. Virgin galactic after 13 YEARS still aren't offering any space tourism lol
so it requires much more planning than back in the 60's
And no, space tourism isn’t a top priority right now. Getting to the moon then mars is.
You know that the van allen belt is caused by solar winds and not climate change. You guys need to get your sh!t together
I think it's funny when ppl criticize nasa for wasting money, then criticize them for saving money by sending unmanned missions instead of humans
Lmao who said the van allen belt is causing climate change
What's even more funnier is when they went to the moon 50 years ago and ignored the van allen belt lol.
They didn’t....
Are you serious?
They did also destroy all the information relating to the moon landings. It's so obviously faked.
Your reasoning is hilarious
Maybe they were hiding something else
My dad told me he drove to the store, but told me his car broke down on the way home and it was destroyed: therefore the store is fake
That’s your reasoning
@Skeptic Ayy is POEing
