@H8mz88 about that photo i seen this misconception a bunch of times

the problem with ur understanding is that u cannot see the whole surface of a sphere at once

its also a know problem of projecting a surface of a 3d object onto a 2d plane

to test this simply use a ball draw some on it and try to get all the surface of the ball intoa single picture with ur phone

same with earth

the pictures that dont match up are simply pictures from different angles or different times of day

the picture with america seeming so big is often used in america they use those u cans ee europe more clearly here for example its just a choice which part of the globe u prefer to see

the problem that u cannot see all of it at once still remains either way thats why there are projections like the one FE use to describe how earth looks

This misconcetion is also caused by conflating what you expect to see if earth was flat and what you expect to see if earth was a globe. If earth was flat ud expect to see all of earth in a single picture maybe even a round one but u conflate ur expectations of this with what you would expect if earth was a sphere.
