Because it would go against how the sun is actually observed and what the mainstream theory is pushing for what planets are

2019-10-25 19:05:18 UTC

You know with the sun being in the center and all that

2019-10-25 19:05:43 UTC

Also I don't think I've ever see anyone say "planets don't look like planets"

2019-10-25 19:05:54 UTC

It's just that planets aren't what earth is that's all

2019-10-25 19:07:38 UTC

Anybody who has observed the planets through a telescope knows the planets are NOT simply moving lights. This is the flat Earth claim. Maybe you haven’t spoken with as many FEs as I have. They believe planets are simply blurry lights that appear as lights in water because of the ‘waters above’. Now, since you don’t believe that, but believe they are celestial bodies, where do they exist? Within the dome, or outer space?

2019-10-25 19:09:50 UTC

Most FEs don’t believe in outer space, hence the reason for the conspiracy (to make us feel insignificant and not connected to god). But it seems you may believe in outer space.

2019-10-25 19:09:56 UTC

No I know that they think they're moving lights in a sense but most will say that they don't know for the most part

2019-10-25 19:10:35 UTC

There are a lot better photos and videos of so called "planets" so yeah

2019-10-25 19:10:43 UTC

You can even look at them yourself

2019-10-25 19:10:53 UTC

No one is truly denying their existence or anything

2019-10-25 19:13:24 UTC

Okay, so on November 11 Mercury will be passing between us and the Sun (transit of Mercury). If the sun is local, this would mean Mercury is even closer to us in this dome than the sun, correct?

2019-10-25 19:15:47 UTC

We can predict the transits of Mercury and Venus with great accuracy because we know the orbits of the planets and it’s been observed for hundreds of years. The transit of Mercury happens quite often.

2019-10-25 19:16:57 UTC

I wouldn't say that there is a dome

2019-10-25 19:17:17 UTC

But other flat earthers would say that all these "planets" and all of that are already in the dome already and are closer

2019-10-25 19:17:35 UTC

Passing between us and the sun though? Eh I'm a bit iffy on that one but we'll see

2019-10-25 19:19:32 UTC

Well you can check out the amateur videos and photos of Venus (2012) and Mercury (2016) transiting the sun, and you can verify all the past and future dates of this occurrence.

2019-10-25 19:19:58 UTC

So if you believe there are planets, do you believe in outer space?

2019-10-25 19:23:04 UTC

I think they're something for sure lol

2019-10-25 19:23:18 UTC

Space is a mixed bag for me so I can't really answer you on that one bro

2019-10-25 19:23:29 UTC

Some think we're on "the floor of the universe" and all that

2019-10-25 19:24:18 UTC

There are a lot of factors that don't work if gravity doesn't exist or at least the way people think it works isn't right

2019-10-25 19:25:59 UTC

If gravity didn’t exist on Earth, then masses/objects would be weightless. Gravity gives weight to mass

2019-10-25 19:29:00 UTC

We can prove that mass attracts mass towards their centers with the LAW of Universal Gravitation. Do you trust this LAW?

2019-10-25 19:30:52 UTC

The greater the masses, the greater the force of attraction. The greater the distance between their centers, the weaker the attraction. That’s it. Since Earth is a MASSIVE object, all objects on Earth will attract toward its center.

2019-10-25 19:31:17 UTC

As I said it would put a lot into question if there wasn't any gravity but simply stating there isn't any gravity means everything would be weightless

2019-10-25 19:31:34 UTC

We used to believe other things before we knew about gravity, there is always a better explanation

2019-10-25 19:31:46 UTC

Well if gravity wasn’t real, then a force would be REQUIRED to force all objects DOWNWARD

2019-10-25 19:32:01 UTC

Do you agree?

2019-10-25 19:32:03 UTC

Downward?

2019-10-25 19:32:07 UTC

Yes

2019-10-25 19:32:31 UTC

Why Down? Why aren’t objects forced in any other direction?

2019-10-25 19:32:59 UTC

Are we talking about gravity in general or on earth?

2019-10-25 19:34:43 UTC

On Earth, but the same is true in space. In space the direction to which things are being attracted is down (since there is a mass attracting it)

2019-10-25 19:35:20 UTC

Uh

2019-10-25 19:35:21 UTC

gravity is the direction in which mass travels through time

2019-10-25 19:35:27 UTC

:dab:

2019-10-25 19:35:32 UTC

It isn't exactly attracted down though

2019-10-25 19:35:57 UTC

How so?

2019-10-25 19:36:04 UTC

down is relative

2019-10-25 19:36:22 UTC

It goes to the center of mass that's attracting it and for us on earth, assuming that the mainstream science is right, we'd be pulled to the center (which sure is down for us)

2019-10-25 19:36:24 UTC

get rid of gravity and there's no down
