hello flat earthers
Welcome to the Ice Wall!
i have a question for y'all
how does the flat earth explain time zones?
like how is it night time in Australia but day time in England?
and what about seasons?
if the earth was flat, how can different parts of the world experience seasons and time differently?

Can we make this server for trusted people only? Too many globe heads trying to debate when this server is to inform new people about flat earth model
i feel so attacked
how could you use such harsh words

@rivenator12113 What flat earth model?
You mean the flat earth hypothesis?
@rivenator12113 no. This server welcomes everyone. If you are having a hard time with someone. Please let us know
@sub-zero sandbox good question
The sun is not 93 million miles away
The sun is much closer. Therefore its light doesnt travel across the entire flat plane at the same time
As the sun gets further away its light disappears
Light isnt infinite
Ever heard of olbers Paradox?
@Citizen Z But how does the sun illuminate EXACTLY 50% of the world at any given moment, and sometimes more with phenomena like midnight sun
It isnt exactly 50%
That makes sense for a sphere but it's difficult to imagine for a flat plane
Yes it is
That's what is observed
Oh really
Lol
Why is that object rising as it moves back?
With your refraction model the earth would be lit more than 50% at all times
To say it is not 50% is splitting hairs. It's very nearly 50%
So you should re look at that
The gif is an example of perspective and angular resolution

How they look as they get further from you
