lunar eclipses happen when the sun is still up but you're too retarded to know why that's impossible on your model

@RidleyChozo How do you explain the sun casting light under clouds?

2019-10-05 23:47:15 UTC

Parallel lines remain parallel no matter how far away you are from an object. The sun's light should never hit the underside of a cloud, as long as this holds true.

2019-10-05 23:48:01 UTC

@Yabai On flat earth, the sun is closer and the rays are divergent. On globe earth, sun is far and the sun rays are parallel.

2019-10-05 23:49:34 UTC

It would be cool if you knew flat earth basics before questioning it.

2019-10-05 23:50:41 UTC

How do divergent rays of light explain this phenomenon? The only explanation I can think of is that light can curve under certain conditions, but there are usually clear and explainable mechanisms behind it, for example with atmospheric refraction.

2019-10-05 23:51:48 UTC

Is there a clear, explainable mechanism that causes us to see the sun light up the underside of a cloud during sunset/sunrise?

2019-10-05 23:53:49 UTC

I was addressing your 2nd question there. Here's a response to your first question, I think it's mostly refraction that makes light curve at such a long distance .

2019-10-05 23:54:12 UTC

I see

2019-10-05 23:54:33 UTC

thus making it look go from down to up because its the furthest away it can be possible.

2019-10-05 23:54:53 UTC

i have to look into it more

I'm new to this server. I hope it's not like most other flat earth groups. Where it's 90% globers looking to fight.

2019-10-06 02:39:30 UTC

Idk, I am a glober and just looking to find actually some points that make sense.

2019-10-06 02:41:36 UTC

@mark1776 this is a great server to talk about conspiracies. If you’re looking to debate though I’d recommend <#538929818834698260>

2019-10-06 02:43:30 UTC

No, not looking for a debate but I will keep that in mind. It's just been my experience that most of these flat earth groups are globe believers looking to poke fun . Good to know this server is a good one

2019-10-06 03:06:18 UTC

yeah, its very difficult to find a server with real flat earthers

2019-10-06 03:06:29 UTC

problem is they will ban you real quick if you don't agree with them

2019-10-06 13:35:12 UTC

yes it can

2019-10-06 13:35:22 UTC

curved windows make curved things seem flat

2019-10-06 13:36:05 UTC

Other way around

2019-10-06 13:36:54 UTC

well either way the earth seemed flat through the window in the picture but is curved when he's outside the spacecraft

2019-10-06 13:37:19 UTC

Its a fisheye lens outside the craft
