technically robots are designed for 1 and only 1 task something like a learning AI would be more useful

and if robots were the next step of human life then we wouldnt go so far

um no thats not how it works

its just machine learning

like VACNET which is valves anti cheat its constantly learning to find cheaters

and it sends demo recordings to humans(aka over watch) to ensure no false bans are made

people are afraid of technology.... machine learning can only increase the quality of our services without ever being sentient.

It could eventually happen, but then the AI would have to make a heck ton of robots without a person finding out

yeah sentient AI would be crazy cool tho but wouldnt that violate some right that us sentient beings have

well technically an actual sentient AI could easily wipe us out, machines do hundreds of thousands of years of training in a few days tops

yeah, the AI that would intentionally fail the Turing test would be the dangerous one

Because AI is not conscious, it does not "look" out for the benefit of itself. In fact, it doesn't look out for anything because it cannot form thoughts. The "thoughts" that it does form are just a result of programming, it actually doesn't "feel" that way. It's just executing commands

With this in mind AI will not, unless programmed to, look out for the benefit of itself

We currently cannot create a self conscious machine. So no matter what we program, it won't even be able to fake being conscious

Isnt AI just "do this and here are the inputs"
