<#547645432604393482> I think that mainstream history is flawed by the biases of the time that the education system was constructed in, so for example alot of women's history and gay history is never really touched upon despite their importance or how large they affected the culture as a whole
Although as a whole history is fairly accurate
ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
history of touching woman and gays... yeah okay @brother mutton :P
Try entire cultures / civilizations being wiped out / assimilated and being lied out
the inverse of history being talk
<@229249080931516418>
the wrong people being blamed
<@229249080931516418> you coming back?
or how about during U.S. revolutionary times, when there was a small fight with a few people and they lied and called it a revolted saying it was hundreds of people when it wasn't? Or drawing an etching of an entire town in flames when it was only one building that actually had the fire
You can't believe anything in the history books.
@Seeker of Truth ah yes it's not like the majority of Greek culture is never talked about due to its status on gay people, ive never gone to a school or read a more mainstream book that has said even the slightest about that area of Greek philosophy, as well as the Romans for that example who held similar Veiws, again entirely glanced over, this is a direct result of Christianity being exceedingly prominent in schooling for a very long time
Just because it's on the other side of the political spectrum doesn't mean it's not a similar event
Being gay in greece was very different from being gay rn tho
I think you're both kinda trying to convey the same point tbh
Generally guys just had a twink and a wife if im not mistaken
I would taken it a step further and say that it may even be possible that places / structures / ruins who were supposedly built by / belonging to one civilization from a thousand or two thousand years ago could have actually been built mere hundreds of years ago and might have actually belonged to another group entirely
@The_chickenmaster not really gay relationships were incredibly accepted and if they had a twink and a wife they'd be bi not gay, gay relationships were more than widely accepted across all of greece
