look at my roles
disagreeing with vc not agreeing
imagine making a tool to improve your observations
not like anything like that has been invented
🙄
hmm
@racecartacocat he's agreeing he doesn't know what that's stuff is
Doxxer in icebox
yo nasa is lit
dude nasa really be launching rockets
like
not as much as before
but it really do be that way
yeah cuz spacex is lit
<@430450432012189706>
and spacex has the lack of restriction necessary to innovate to create cheap orbital service on a per pound basis
like 10 times cheaper than space shuttle per pound which is lit
Space shuttle was a failure
cool but way too expensive
Was the space shuttle an ssto or no
no
ssto is single stage to orbit
something like the skylon that's under development
SSTOs are theoretically easier to turn around
but
in rocket form they don't deliver much payload and are usually more expensive and less efficient than their expendable or semi-expendable counterparts
the reason rockets stage is obviously to use their fuel more efficiently; doubling your fuel doesn't double your range
also since certain rocket engines perform better in atmosphere or vacuum environments, an SSTO's engines are as well adjusted for the different periods of ascent
What was really sad, was the cancellation of the X-33 tho
they had linear aerospike engines, which essentially used hydrolauics to shift the shape of the rocket nozzle so that it was efficient at all attitudes
What does the lead role mean?
Its xp
additionally it was a lifting body orbiter, which allowed it to use lift on ascent and save fuel with a different flight profile
