According to your logic, yes, though I disagree. The fact that the trace seems to be going down, is because LEO is essentially a circle. It'll seem to go down. The fact that the trace stops is because the engine is shut down
So why does the rocket curve back down

Why? Because it's in orbit. A circle around the earth. If the earth goes down, it has to follow that curve in order to stay in a circle. Because the spacecraft high up, it means you're able to see the curve from below. Resulting in the illusion that the spacecraft is going down
