OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — A man found himself behind bars after police say he sexually assaulted a Lyft driver giving him a ride in Oklahoma City.
The Oklahoma City Police Department confirms that 49-year-old James McGuire was arrested July 22 on complaints of sexual battery and assault and battery. A female driver for Lyft told police that 11:30 p.m. July 22 she picked up a passenger at Mickey Mantle's in Bricktown and began taking him towards his hotel near NW 122 and I-35.
The woman told police that the man, later identified as McGuire, was very intoxicated and began to touch her shoulder. While traveling northbound on I-35 the man began rubbing the woman's thigh. He then commented on her breasts and allegedly touched one of them.
The woman told the man to stop and that he was going to cause her to crash. McGuire then allegedly replied, "we can die together." The man then reportedly pulled the woman's breast out of her shirt. The woman was able to pull her tank top back up and arrive at the hotel the man was staying at.
While parked at the hotel, the man offered the driver money to come back to his hotel room. When she refused, he allegedly pulled her hair and the woman was able to push him out of the vehicle. She then watched the man as he went to a room at the hotel and called police.
Officers later arrived and took McGuire into custody.

ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) - Gov. Andrew Cuomo has announced major milestones accomplished through the NY Stands with Puerto Rico Recovery and Rebuilding initiative launched in April.
Cuomo says 90 homes have been cleaned, restored, and rebuilt across the hurricane ravaged island. He says the state is on its way to reaching its goal of 150 homes renovated through the initiative.
Over 400 student and labor volunteers have dedicated more than 25,000 hours to the initiative with two more major deployments still remaining.
Cuomo is currently in Puerto Rico to support the ongoing efforts on the island. The trip marks Cuomo's fifth to Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricanes Maria and Irma.
