ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) - Gov. Andrew Cuomo has announced major milestones accomplished through the NY Stands with Puerto Rico Recovery and Rebuilding initiative launched in April.
Cuomo says 90 homes have been cleaned, restored, and rebuilt across the hurricane ravaged island. He says the state is on its way to reaching its goal of 150 homes renovated through the initiative.
Over 400 student and labor volunteers have dedicated more than 25,000 hours to the initiative with two more major deployments still remaining.
Cuomo is currently in Puerto Rico to support the ongoing efforts on the island. The trip marks Cuomo's fifth to Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricanes Maria and Irma.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — The Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy will meet to discuss the employment status of its executive director after allegations she bribed the former top attorney from the board of health for favorable rules on medical marijuana.
The board will meet at 2 p.m. July 25. The agenda for the meeting shows that the board will consider the employment of Executive Director Chelsea Church. Church is accused of trying to bribe former Oklahoma State Department of Health General Counsel Julie Ezell in the run-up to the Board of Health's implementation of the rules on medical marijuana. A series of text messages reportedly exchanged between Ezell and Church supports the accusations, according to the online news publication NonDoc.
