A flight from NYC to Florida had to be diverted to South Carolina because some passengers aboard complained of burning throats and chest pains after a potential hazmat situation from an unknown substance that passengers say smelled like "dirty socks."
Two-hundred-twenty passengers were on board Spirit Airlines Flight 779 from LaGuardia to Fort Lauderdale when it was diverted to Myrtle Beach after the airline said an "odor developed in a section of the aircraft."

A man pulled a woman onto the subway tracks in front of a screaming train in Brooklyn Thursday afternoon, killing both, authorities say, and the emergency response disrupted service along large portions of the A and C lines at the height of the evening rush.
The MTA originally said both the man and the woman jumped in front of the moving train at Broadway Junction just before 5 p.m. However, the NYPD said early Friday that the 54-year-old man pulled 42-year-old Cynthia Raiser of Queens onto the track bed from the platform.
Raiser was pronounced dead at the scene, and the man, whose name hasn't been released, was rushed to the hospital, where police said he died. It wasn't clear whether the two knew each other.
The A and C lines saw significant disruptions in Queens and Brooklyn through the evening. Service was up and running again by late Thursday.

Michael Avenatti, the attorney for porn actress Stormy Daniels, said Thursday that he now represents three additional women who he says had relationships with President Donald Trump and were paid "hush money" before the 2016 presidential election.
Avenatti disclosed the information at a community forum in West Hollywood, California, but he would not provide additional information.
Asked if he had evidence that the women had relationships with Trump, Avenatti said: "Yes."
He said he was "not at liberty to share" the evidence because he didn't have permission from his clients to disclose specifics. But Avenatti said the women, who contacted him months ago, were "paid hush money prior to the 2016 election."

He called on Trump and his former longtime personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, to come forward and disclose information about the women and their supposed relationships with Trump.
"They should release the information to the American people now," Avenatti said. "Enough with the games."
Trump's attorney, Charles Harder, did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment late Thursday.

"Last time I checked they weren't just handing out checks to anyone whether they had a relationship or not," Avenatti said.
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has said she had sex with Trump in 2006, when he was married, but Trump has denied it. Days before the 2016 presidential election, she was paid $130,000 to stay silent in a deal handled by Cohen. She is suing to invalidate the nondisclosure agreement.
Cohen's attorney, Lanny Davis, would not say if he knew whether Cohen had been involved in any other hush-money deals on behalf of Trump.
