Politics remind me a lot of sports and sports fans. I can't think of the words to say what I am thinking, but this stuff blows my mind. Hate, revenge, mass hysteria, wow for the sake of humanity people need to wake up. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/07/02/murder-soccer-player-after-own-goal-20-years-ago-still-resonates-in-colombia.html

According to authorities, on July 20, officers at the Dennis DeConcini Crossing referred a 40-year-old woman for further questioning at the pedestrian lanes, where a CBP narcotics detection canine alerted to an odor it was trained to detect. The subject agreed to remove half-a-pound of methamphetamine from her vaginal cavity.

The following day, officers at the Morley Pedestrian Crossing referred a 25-year-old woman for additional inspection, where a CBP canine alerted to an odor it was trained to detect. Officials say the subject volunteered to remove the methamphetamine from her vaginal cavity, which weighed half a pound.

In each case, the drugs' estimated value was nearly $1,400.

The subjects were arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations. No names have been released in this case.

A rapidly growing wildfire has left at least two people dead and a dozen more injured near Redding, California.

The "Carr" fire has consumed more than 44,000 acres.

One Redding firefighter and a bulldozer operator were killed battling the flames.

"This fire is extremely dangerous and moving with no regard to what's in its path," Cal Fire Chief Brett Gouvea warns.

Fire officials say the fire is growing at an unprecedented rate.

At least 65 buildings, including homes and businesses, have been destroyed so far.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A child advocacy organization is concerned that a projected undercount of children in Wisconsin during the 2020 census could threaten the amount of aid the state receives.

Kids Forward Executive Director Ken Taylor tells Wisconsin Public Radio that young kids and kids of color are most likely to be undercounted.

Bureau Acting Director Ron Jarmin says people can be missed if they're in areas that are harder to count, or if there's a language barrier.

The U.S. Census Bureau says data helps determine the disbursement of $675 billion in federal funds annually.

Taylor says Wisconsin receives about $9 billion of those funds, which are primarily focused on health, foster care and child care.

A George Washington University found that the state loses about $1,500 for every person not counted.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Police Gang Enforcement Officers tell KATU News there has been a spike in gang shootings in the St. Johns area over the last couple of weeks.

"It's not something that happens frequently out there," said David Hughes, a gang unit officer.
The aftermath of a shooting was caught on cellphone video Thursday night near North Fessenden Street and Columbia Way. Neighbors told KATU News they have noticed the violence and hope people don't get hurt.

KATU News rode along with Officer Hughes and Officer Jerry Ables on Friday to see how the Gang Enforcement is responding to the shootings.
"We make our mere presence known to hopefully prevent shootings or any other crimes (from) happening," Ables said.
The two officers patrol around the areas of past shootings and near the homes of known gang activity.
During the ride along, the two officers stopped to check on one person sitting in a car who's been involved with gang activity in the past.

A 14-year-old passenger of the vehicle was found with marijuana. Officers confiscated the marijuana.
Hughes said there have been 70 gang-related incidents in the North Precinct this year, about the same as this time last year.
2015 was the worst year for gang activity in the area. 1,200 shell casings were discovered and 70 people were shot, according to Hughes.
