Having term limits for congress members could actually force them to do things imo
and remove the damn filibuster and the abillity to call recess

But definitely I think we need 6 year terms, especially in a landscape where more and more often, the USA is having to respond to actors on the global stage that have the luxury of longterm planning because of their forms of government

That's my whole argument against the executive term limits. I can see 6 year terms doing good as well. Especially since Putin, Xi, and the Shah of Iran are the only real world leaders we need hyper concern with and they're in for life now
The washington example worked for its time but that is because the US was in a vacuum, we need to evolve to face new threats
Yeah, we're dealing with people who are planning on extremely long term scales, since like basically they are party appointed governments.
Whereas in the USA it is all chaotic as fuck and we are lucky if we can get in a 2 year plan before elections ruin all those procedures
