PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Police Bureau is asking demonstrators at a planned rally in downtown Portland Saturday to leave their weapons at home.

The alt-right group Patriot Prayer is planning to hold a demonstration to support Joey Gibson’s run for Senate. Gibson has led the group and organized gatherings for several years. They plan to meet at the Salmon Street Fountain at 12 p.m.
