Those old enough don't seem to remember the chaos of the late '60s/early 70s - the 'Nam years. Those too young will not have reference. But, as I remember it, they were troubling times (as seen by a teen). Seems 1/2 century later, we have gone on to repeat, but with added flair. Seems my generation has been doomed to have unrest as bookends to their primary adult years.

Most people have no Idea how deep the CIA was involved in drugs in South America, They were training Sandinista rebels on Military bases to overthrow Governments in South america to have complete control of Drug running there.
