After a remarkable career of service with the United States Coast Guard, the Federal Government, and 10 notable years with the American Red Cross, Sherri Brown, president of Humanitarian Services, will be retiring on December 31. Sherri began her career with the Red Cross as Senior Vice President for Service to the Armed Forces in 2008. In this role, she provided oversight and direction for worldwide American Red Cross programs and services for military members, veterans and their families. This included creating the first Red Cross resiliency program for military families, recruiting a dedicated instructor team of licensed mental health professionals to support families, using technology to improve emergency communication and casework, and providing more electronic options for our servicemen and women.”
