I think that’s probably because Yahweh refers to the Jewish god

2020-08-21 03:37:00 UTC

Which is the same god as the Christian god obviously

2020-08-21 03:37:12 UTC

But I think that’s where they difference is

2020-08-21 03:37:25 UTC

*the

2020-08-21 03:37:29 UTC

Can’t type tonight

2020-08-21 03:38:41 UTC

I believe the New Testament was written by the romans so they wouldnt have used the word Yahweh since that’s not a native word to them

2020-08-21 03:39:03 UTC

Just like we don’t use the word Yahweh we just say God

2020-08-21 03:39:04 UTC

The churches teach that the Christian God is Yahweh and most teach that Jesus is Yahweh. But the bible doesn't actually say that.

2020-08-21 03:40:40 UTC

Well no it doesn’t say they’re the same person but it is assumed and accepted that they are because people can’t commit miracles and can’t be perfect only god can

2020-08-21 03:41:00 UTC

I mean I’m pretty sure it doesn’t say they’re the same person. I could be wrong

2020-08-21 03:41:34 UTC

God put himself into marry and that’s what the virgin birth was

2020-08-21 03:42:35 UTC

There are passages that are misinterpreted as Jesus calling himself God.

2020-08-21 03:44:14 UTC

I didn’t think there were any passages of Jesus saying he was god

2020-08-21 03:44:23 UTC

That would be very un Jesus like

2020-08-21 03:44:28 UTC

Lol

2020-08-21 03:45:11 UTC

I’d think the last thing Jesus would want to do is say that he is the god that rules amongst all the men

2020-08-21 03:45:27 UTC

He was a teacher and a passage to god

2020-08-21 03:45:33 UTC

At least that’s what I was taught

2020-08-21 03:46:42 UTC

Exactly so not Yahweh but one with God the father

2020-08-21 03:47:39 UTC

So it’s kinda complicated

2020-08-21 03:47:53 UTC

So the father the son and the Holy Spirit is all god

2020-08-21 03:48:09 UTC

But Jesus is not the father

2020-08-21 03:48:14 UTC

And the father is not god

2020-08-21 03:48:23 UTC

And Jesus is not the Holy Spirit

2020-08-21 03:48:28 UTC

And neither is the father

2020-08-21 03:48:32 UTC

But they are all god

2020-08-21 03:48:55 UTC

I’m remembering it now

2020-08-21 03:49:05 UTC

I use to go to a Christian school

2020-08-21 03:49:22 UTC

Learned about this Garbo daily lol

2020-08-21 03:49:25 UTC

But everybody is God and nobody is but has the potential to possess the holy spirit

2020-08-21 03:49:43 UTC

No

2020-08-21 03:49:51 UTC

Where’d you get that from what I said

2020-08-21 03:49:59 UTC

There are like 3 parts of god

2020-08-21 03:50:23 UTC

And there all like different personas of his

2020-08-21 03:50:56 UTC

So Jesus and the father are not the same person but they’re both played by the same person if that makes sense

2020-08-21 03:51:21 UTC

You can't go by what you learned in Sunday school. Religions were formed as a means of control and for profit

2020-08-21 03:51:56 UTC

So and actor that plays two characters. For example Will Ferrell plays the anchorman guy and the guy from step brothers, they’re both not the same character but they’re played by the same person

2020-08-21 03:52:07 UTC

No but that’s the basis of Christianity the holy trinity

2020-08-21 03:52:15 UTC

You that answers your question

2020-08-21 03:52:27 UTC

And you’re right it is definitely used to control people

2020-08-21 03:52:41 UTC

I think there’s certainly a good side to it
