Where’d you get that from what I said

2020-08-21 03:49:59 UTC

There are like 3 parts of god

2020-08-21 03:50:23 UTC

And there all like different personas of his

2020-08-21 03:50:56 UTC

So Jesus and the father are not the same person but they’re both played by the same person if that makes sense

2020-08-21 03:51:21 UTC

You can't go by what you learned in Sunday school. Religions were formed as a means of control and for profit

2020-08-21 03:51:56 UTC

So and actor that plays two characters. For example Will Ferrell plays the anchorman guy and the guy from step brothers, they’re both not the same character but they’re played by the same person

2020-08-21 03:52:07 UTC

No but that’s the basis of Christianity the holy trinity

2020-08-21 03:52:15 UTC

You that answers your question

2020-08-21 03:52:27 UTC

And you’re right it is definitely used to control people

2020-08-21 03:52:41 UTC

I think there’s certainly a good side to it

2020-08-21 03:53:00 UTC

I’m not a Christian religiously anymore I’m and atheist not

2020-08-21 03:53:04 UTC

Now*

2020-08-21 03:54:54 UTC

Just so you know the whole idea of the trinity was a much later invention as the myth of Jesus evolved

2020-08-21 03:55:52 UTC

I think it was a term used to understand the Bible

2020-08-21 03:56:01 UTC

Because it definitely makes sense

2020-08-21 04:03:07 UTC

Earliest Christians didn't believe Jesus was God as in Yahweh, But that he achieved oneness with God the Father. And they also believed that they could also achieve oneness with the Father. Rome realized an oportunity for control and profit presented itself in Christianity and in AD 313 Rome adopted Christianity as it's state religion and the Roman Catholic church was born. That's when the bible was hijackethe the canon of "offial" books was created. All other works were ordered to be destroyed.

2020-08-21 04:03:42 UTC

*official

2020-08-21 04:04:29 UTC

It’s clear you want to argue about something else

2020-08-21 04:05:11 UTC

And I agree with you. The Roman church was using it to control people. But what do you think about Martin Luther

2020-08-21 04:05:48 UTC

No but when stating that Jesus is God you have to understand that is a pretty modern interpretation

2020-08-21 04:07:09 UTC

What’s wrong with a modern interpretation

2020-08-21 04:08:45 UTC

I actually believe that Martin Luther acted on behalf of the Catholic Church. The bible was being translated into other languages and many people were beginning to question the authority of church. That was the start of the seemingly infinite interpretations of the bible and the start of different denominations

2020-08-21 04:09:32 UTC

This caused the people to argue the various passages rather than search the bible and elsewhere for truth

2020-08-21 04:09:43 UTC

Yeah

2020-08-21 04:10:11 UTC

But how can you say you think Martin Luther acted on behalf of the Catholic Church

2020-08-21 04:10:17 UTC

When he did the exact opposite

2020-08-21 04:10:41 UTC

I mean He is the reason there are so many different denominations but what’s wrong with that

2020-08-21 04:10:54 UTC

Better things have come with that

2020-08-21 04:11:28 UTC

There is a surviving gospel that didn't make the final cut. The Gospel of Thomas is a collection of sayings that many biblical scholars agree is the earliest of the gospels and like represents the most accurately published sayings of Jesus

2020-08-21 04:13:38 UTC

Good things to come with faith yes. But the churches are still all corrupt and still getting rich so what's really changed?

2020-08-21 04:15:13 UTC

Jesus said to Peter. "What king would charge his princes for visiting him? But as not offend, we will pay" I paraphrase of course.

2020-08-21 04:15:32 UTC

*as not to offend

2020-08-21 04:16:34 UTC

I don’t see the churches as any threat here in America so I can’t argue anything like this I just don’t see any problem

2020-08-21 04:17:02 UTC

The only thing I could have a problem with in America is the indoctrination of children to a particular faith

2020-08-21 04:17:18 UTC

But in America I don’t see that as a horribly major or serious problem

2020-08-21 04:17:30 UTC

I guess because the churches are preying on people for profit.

2020-08-21 04:18:56 UTC

But people would willing give up there money to the church even if they didn’t ask

2020-08-21 04:19:06 UTC

It’s a part of there faith

2020-08-21 04:19:23 UTC

I think it’s incredibly stupid

2020-08-21 04:19:37 UTC

But if they want to do it it doesn’t effect me

2020-08-21 04:22:33 UTC

I guess I made the claim because I believe strongly in Jesus the man and the message he brought to the people. So to have people compare him to Yahweh who is my opinion a homicidal maniac.... I feel the need to defend him.
