https://youtu.be/HeKWWIGj3ak all hail Stan!
Who the hell is Stan? Lol
LOL
https://youtu.be/YQyxCL1uMlU have a fantastic night or day!
Ghana has been hosting a raft of activities, at home and abroad, to encourage the descendants of those who were forcibly sent away to return.https://qz.com/africa/1757853/ghana-gives-citizenship-to-100-african-americans-year-of-return/https://qz.com/africa/1757853/ghana-gives-citizenship-to-100-african-americans-year-of-return/
Way to go Ghana!
Ghana is very oppressive to LGBT and women. And even though everyone is black to us there, they also have a lot of internal racism an i would imagine there wouldn’t be a great welcome to outsiders. Go there at your own risk.
Is Ghana very religious? What's the latest geo politics around there?
To be fair... the last continent to see racism would've been Africa... but... it doesnt seem so... I've heard a lot from South Africa Kenya... Sudan...
@Buddha you really think these donut eaters are going to go over there and suffer that oppressive heat and filth
They need to go for a month they'll come back patriotic
What do you mean Tom?
I've been to the third world South America version of it. Many of the people I hear complaining about America have no idea how the rest of the world lives
I’ve been to Djibouti and Ethiopia. They definitely don’t have it better.
No and I've spoken to many second generation immigrants that went back and were afraid they would die before they could get back to a western Society
A second-generation Somali girl I know from Canada wasn't circumsized and she went for a visit. They were obsessed with trying to circumcised her before she could get back to Canada
That's awfull!
Most people today don’t know what real oppression looks like
No the war on poverty was declared in 1965. Poverty then was not having food. Poverty now is being obese from excessive calories making one more susceptible to covid-19
What do you guys think about determinism
@everyone if you'd not mind homies, let's move here for off-topic, and Pangburn for stuff related to debates/discussions or livestreams
Sorry Hypnotoad.
I don't know if my answer is predetermined or not.
oh, you x)
hypnotoad....
yoooo
just got back from a show, dm'd you
I want to discuss how psychology works. Any takers?
They say that we are creatures of habit. So how does one decide to do something other than what is ingrained? And what if the decisions themselves are ingrained?
Before people get into this are you trying to debate freewill?
I'm just looking for whatever people think.
Most rational people might have several thoughts on the matter whether they know the truth or not.
What are your thoughts on the matter?
do you think you can form habits?
or decide your habits
If I try, I can do something new for a while. It doesn't always stick though.
Why do you think that is? I have the same issue, I think there is enough evidence to argue people can change their habits
Umm, old dog new tricks. Something else is getting in the way that you already do. Also, you might get distracted by someone else who needs your time/energy. And you have to be mindful of what you are doing in order to decide differently.
What about a reward system and delayed gratification?
