Evidence ?

2020-07-20 21:38:43 UTC

And could you define magic before you provide evidence

2020-07-20 21:40:42 UTC

OK Magick is the idea where you can do a spell, believe in it, wait a season to a few years. Then it affects atheistic reality.

2020-07-20 21:42:58 UTC

The evidence is hard to come by. You would have to have been around me when I lost my mind enough to do magick, and then watch the outcomes.

2020-07-20 21:43:23 UTC

Do you have any anecdotal evidence?

2020-07-20 21:45:23 UTC

At the beginning of 1999, I knocked down two things that could represent towers. Can't really prove the causation though.

2020-07-20 21:45:51 UTC

And what was the effect of knocking down those 2 things

2020-07-20 21:45:59 UTC

Please don’t say 9/11

2020-07-20 21:49:47 UTC

I also had a conversation with a woman who was trying to get me to kill Bush in 2005.

2020-07-20 21:50:51 UTC

That doesn’t really prove anything

2020-07-20 21:51:28 UTC

Sorry, I don't have solid proof. Just anecdote.

2020-07-20 21:51:41 UTC

It’s like when religious people pray to god for something and stumble upon something similar or what not

2020-07-20 21:52:07 UTC

Yea sorry seems like a cool idea but without actual evidence it’s no better than religious hokum

2020-07-20 21:56:13 UTC

I'm not claiming a god of the gaps.

2020-07-20 21:56:35 UTC

Different ideas, same lack of evidence

2020-07-20 21:58:01 UTC

Pangburn meme for today. Share to trigger discourse 🙂

2020-07-20 21:58:19 UTC

It's hard for me to do scientific experimentation on it. Especially since the first part involves being in a weird state of mind.

2020-07-20 21:58:40 UTC

Understandable

2020-07-20 21:59:05 UTC

All I’m saying is its more likely to not be real than it is

2020-07-20 21:59:24 UTC

But if it’s ever proved with sufficient evidence I’ll believe in it

2020-07-20 22:01:53 UTC

@everyone Pangburn meme for today. Share to trigger discourse 🙂 I will be jumping into voice chat momentarily.

2020-07-20 22:02:05 UTC

Well, imagine trying to explain germ theory to someone without a microscope. It sounds really weird, if you think about it.

2020-07-20 22:02:39 UTC

There’s evidence that can be found outside a microscope for germ theory

2020-07-20 22:03:32 UTC

What's your point?

2020-07-20 22:03:56 UTC

My point is you can’t compare your theory to germ theory

2020-07-20 22:05:31 UTC

Because?

2020-07-20 22:05:51 UTC

Gwen theory has more evidence

2020-07-20 22:05:55 UTC

Germ*

2020-07-20 22:07:20 UTC

Right, my theory would require quite a bit more evidence before being considered established. That seems wise.

2020-07-20 22:09:45 UTC

Yep

2020-07-20 22:09:59 UTC

If only everyone thought this way and actually used evidence

2020-07-20 22:10:06 UTC

Evolution wouldn’t be controversial

2020-07-20 22:11:59 UTC

Aren't you concerned that you won't be able to discover new things, if all the evidence shall be present at first?

2020-07-20 22:12:18 UTC

Wdym?

2020-07-20 22:13:50 UTC

I think that you are not displaying any discovery because you are too busy fighting with Christians.

2020-07-20 22:14:09 UTC

What made you come to that conclusion

2020-07-20 22:14:28 UTC

I rarely interact with Christians

2020-07-20 22:19:44 UTC

Sorry, I'm stuck in discovery mode.

2020-07-20 22:26:39 UTC

Christians open up discovery mode in the brain for their religion. Close it down for all else. What if there is a god? Oooh your not being open-minded. But it is sometimes a good idea to be open-minded. Just not to their religion. IMO.

2020-07-20 22:45:09 UTC

Following established science and established technique is very wise though. 👍

2020-07-20 22:45:39 UTC

Black man here... it makes you incredibly insensitive and averagely immoral
