There is lawsuit presently. Hasn't gone to the supreme court as of yet. But to be fair, the ban I believe is against in home gatherings for bible study

2020-07-22 18:09:25 UTC

Still not enforceable

2020-07-22 18:10:20 UTC

the means by which it would be enforceable would be tyrannical and a massive over reach of the government.

2020-07-22 18:12:17 UTC

So not very plausible then?

2020-07-22 18:13:05 UTC

They could pass it, enforcement is the issue

@m.miller I will publish all articles for free right now during this beta test. 👍 email to me at travis@pang-burn.com

2020-07-22 18:15:05 UTC

couldn't they take the China approach?

2020-07-22 18:16:50 UTC

The could.....the question is do Americans agree with it and allow it.

2020-07-22 18:21:30 UTC

Non believers make up more than half our population now so it is conceivable. And if history truly repeats itself then believers should have some concern. I'm speaking of the French revolution.

2020-07-22 18:26:07 UTC

Interesting take....The French and American Revolutions were completely different. Are you making an argument that non-believers will act the like the mobs of the French Revolution? Do you think non-believers will seek to dismantle the ideals of the American Revolution?

2020-07-22 18:27:40 UTC

@Wardawg_79 what do you think of this?

2020-07-22 18:31:14 UTC

It appears that is where this may be trending. Massive censorship. The idea of rewriting the new testament to make it less anti-Semitic has been tossed around recently.

2020-07-22 18:35:59 UTC

What's wrong with that?

2020-07-22 18:36:35 UTC

Shouldn't the bible be in the public domain?

2020-07-22 18:37:12 UTC

I don't believe the bible is anti-Semitic

2020-07-22 18:37:40 UTC

Naz, I don't think we are on the brink of any kind of war. Any revolution that takes place on US soil will be, imo, mostly nonviolent

2020-07-22 18:37:49 UTC

@Deleted User The New Testament, Anti-Semitic.... I am assuming you have not read it. Furthermore, I just got the cliff-notes for the new testament anti-semitic, controversial viewpoint, it is not anti-semitic. Furthermore, you are shifting the discussion.

2020-07-22 18:38:08 UTC

@Wardawg_79 I agree with you

2020-07-22 18:38:30 UTC

Sounds like a voice chat would be constructive

2020-07-22 18:39:39 UTC

@James B I'm not shifting the conversation. Rewriting the new testament is censorship

I am not mad, or anything..... promise

2020-07-22 18:42:06 UTC

Just trying to understand

2020-07-22 18:42:48 UTC

Aren't the mobs already doing that very thing. Removing statues and relics happened during that period of history

2020-07-22 18:46:42 UTC

> Non believers make up more than half our population now so it is conceivable. And if history truly repeats itself then believers should have some concern. I'm speaking of the French revolution.
@Deleted User are you assuming those mobs are non-believers? also the french weren't exactly non-believers....Which is why I am trying to figure out your understanding of the those revolutions. This has similarities of the French Revolution, but it is not the same, not even by a long-shot.

2020-07-22 18:52:12 UTC

I'm not necessarily suggesting that it will 100% happen. The similarities are interesting to study however.

2020-07-22 18:59:18 UTC

Hey Travis can you pm me

2020-07-22 19:01:22 UTC

The French revolutionaries were not necessarily non-believers. They were jacobins actually for the most part. But the revolution resulted in a banning of the bible and the erection of a new god. The god of reason.

2020-07-22 19:02:14 UTC

A "god of reason" seems like an oxymoron to me

2020-07-22 19:02:54 UTC

<#733748197574312011> can you private message me a minute

2020-07-22 19:02:55 UTC

Joe rogan just started a Podcast with Ben shapiro

2020-07-22 19:03:31 UTC

@Deleted User If you want to study similarities, the french revolution is good. Move onto the Bolshevik Revolution. These movements are more Marxist in nature. Some historians argue the French was the "beginning" of these types of movements. Unfortunately, it may have foreshadowed but it was not the start. Not until Engels and Marx enter the world stage. Then after the Bolshevik look into the Khmer Rouge and Pol Pot. And somewhere between the two look into Maoist China.

Yeah and oddly enough Napolean came to power.

2020-07-22 19:04:12 UTC

So much for a God of Reason

2020-07-22 19:04:14 UTC

God is not a supernatural term necessarily but yeah I get it. It was really just a prostitute with her breasts hanging out being parade to Notre Dame cathedral in Paris

2020-07-22 19:04:42 UTC

Gonna give the Joe rogan ben shapiro Podcast a watch be back in a while

2020-07-22 19:04:55 UTC

The french revolution was anything but reasonable. It was nothing but mob rule

2020-07-22 19:05:28 UTC

I was going to the Bolsheviks next. However they only outlawed Christianity
