@lockwood or they researched it and came to a different conclusion than you
> The age of consent at 18 is stupid anyway, should be somewhere from 21-25
@kaizen HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA
right, and she was found criminally guilty of misconduct toward him
That's fucked
I don’t agree with the law, but it’s not irrational
well...
Oh no
of course it is. For an act that was committed as a violation of his consent at age 12, he will go to prison if he does not pay for child support
It will be demonstrated when you die no worries.
We’re gonna go down the rabbit hole of him trying to justify god
Yeah so they say lockwood
doesn't work?
"I'm right til you're dead and find out nothing cause you're dead"
"so just deal with it"
You need to demonstrate your claim, not just cop out.
your claim is that you dont know
“The court stated that the state's interest in ensuring that a minor receives child support outweighed its interest in potentially deterring sexual crimes against minors.” Not a bad argument @BobbyMack
You're the one making the truth claim so you have the burdennof proof.
you kinda cop out
there
> You're the one making the truth claim so you have the burdennof proof.
@m.miller I dont if my truth will be shown regardless
Demonstrate that it will be shown
Feel in yourself how carefree you can be about that statement. Imagine for a moment the consequences of an adult male raping a 12 year old girl and having her go to prison for it, whether indirectly or not
There’s like 2 debates going on at once right now lol
yeah it's getting iffy
It’s not rape if it was consensual regardless of age imo
> There’s like 2 debates going on at once right now lol
@T2the2ndpowr
Laws like that in that situation are biased against men from what I’ve seen
Double standards
Under criminal law sure, under civil maybe not
that's an EXTREMELY controversial claim
"consent regardless of age" is an extremely controversial claim
I made an important distinction tho in my follow up
@Zurich04 id argue it is in both because the child doesn’t have the ability to make a decision like that
Also underaged sex is illegal, so if 2 minors were caught do they both get prosecuted
theoretically yes but in reality no
Under criminal law it should be considered rape perhaps. I’m just trying to rationalize on the spot so bare with me
