Months and Months now I have spent countless hours reading all I could about this virus. At first out of curiosity at the muffled reports coming from China, then as it spread, to see how more advanced Capitalist countries would handle it in South Korea, Japan, Singapore. Then Italy was decimated. And a seriousness entered my research - would we be affected here, surely yes, so what IS this coronavirus. How deadly is it, how is it spread, how can we avoid it or mitigate it?

Months later and we still do not know simple things like if it is airborne or not?

What I know for a fact:
Since day 1 this virus has been politicized.
Polticization of the media has hurt dissemination of true facts about a global deadly pandemic
There are no more authorities that are trusted on this planet

I don't trust the motivations of any authorities making decisions about this virus. I don't know if my governor is lifting restrictions for political reasons or because scientists believe the risk is now low in our region.
I don't trust that the mayor is locking things down for political reasons, or that he has advanced knowledge of a wave starting in a neighborhood of the city.
I don't trust flat dismissals of treatment X
I don't trust hyped praise for treatment Z

All I can do is keep my head down and pray that this shit goes away by hook or by crook and we can get back to normal.
