California’s top law enforcement official announced Wednesday his office was considering a “legal action” to prevent the Trump administration from using “force” against the “migrant caravan” hoping to enter the United States.

According to Fox News, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra said the action was in response to a series of “complaints” from members of the caravan and others trying to cross the US-Mexico border.

“We have been approached by folks who have expressed complaints,” Becerra said. “We are monitoring what’s occurring.”

Border Patrol Agents fired tear gas at a crowd of immigrants over the weekend after the group hurled projectiles and other objects at federal authorities.
