Largest earthquake, to date, east ofbthe Mississippi was a 7.0 in 1886. The epicenter was in Charleston, SC, and damaged around 2000 homes as far away as Savannah. We experience small quakes here, they just aren't as frequent as on the west coast. We're "due" for a bigger one!
Slept right through it here in Atlanta............but I guess it woke some people up. 🤔
