A 773 grain projectile from a BMG at 500 yards still retains over 8600 ft-lbs of energy, more than a .460 Weatherby (elephant gun) at point blank range. 773 grains of lead weighs 1.766857 ounces. There is more than enough retained energy to dissect a torso, let alone remove limbs. I don’t recall seeing that kind of damage anywhere in the footage.
