The Republicans have a bill that will get rid of the IRS, but will have a huge sales tax instead. Democrats talk about 75% tax rate for the very wealthy, but really that is for votes. Where they will go is toward a VAT, which is a value added sales tax, that will be mostly hidden. Ever wonder why everything is so expensive in Europe? The VAT tax is why.
