hopefully they get dismantled eventually. But they'd make it a bloodbath and they have way too many kids to take any action on them without disaster
How have they not been sieged yet
theyve actually been sieged multiple times since the early 20th century
Waco moment
they're like roaches, always spreading out and then repopulating in a new isolated commune
each time they become more militant, too
Like each woman in the FLDS has an average of around 8 kids
this is where the biggest communities are today
keep in mind they were all once centralized around utah. I wasnt kidding when I said they spread like roaches
we tried busting them up and it just spread them out
They're big brained
They must use no technology in order to avoid getting triangulated
they use VERY little
cars and guns
thats basically it
their sick fuck leader is at least in prison
bruh being a son of a polygamous father that must suck
Its honestly fascinating, basically when the mormon church reformed in the late 1800's, the worst of the church was booted out and formed the FLDS, and the best elements are what the church is today
the faiths side by side today are completely incomparable.
also yeah the sons of FLDS families are literally referred to as "lost boys"
because a lot of them end up getting kicked out of the communes and basically abandoned
due to the fucks leading the communes wanting to keep the female population much higher than the male population
most of those boys are fairly heavily indoctrinated and the mormon church has to sponsor de-radicalization for a lot of them
We try and help them settle into normal communities, but a lot of them are always a little strange and standoffish
Wait why do they need the female population high
For more wives
So "the chosen men" can have a large wife count
they're really disgusting
Basically, they dont want a population of disgruntled, single young men, especially in such a militant society
and they also want to keep their polygamist system together
Its typically the community leaders and people who've proven their loyalty through extreme acts that earn the right to wives
They're a genuine cult
Maybe not originally, but they absolutely are now
