@Deleted User , I was in college 51 years ago. I have lost memories of so many discussions in out student center with fellow students and professors. I am surprised I remembered the reference to this book. Lol. I vaguely remember Dr. Crisp saying it was more of an allegory.

I want to check into the possibility that the Appalachian mountains have a secret research facility deep within. We heard rumors as kids. I heard they were possibly responsible for the fires there last year..or two years ago. My daughter was caught up in that mess. I grew up near there in Knoxville, and very near the oak ridge facility. Oh the questions I have.
