@retiredDep Yikes. I was in high school in the 70s too but by then we lived in Penasquitos.. didn't see any riots and we mostly got along, except for a few.

@retiredDep Yeah, I imagine La Raza was prevalent in Chula Vista then. They're in the town next to me and now they've got a Rants place a few blocks from me.
@Luchadora remember the car clubs? Logan Hights , National City against the Chicanos in Chula Vista and San Yisrdal sp ant TJ would come over to fight back then it was knives switch blades and low riders going down the main drags
@retiredDep Not really. I was in Penasquitos in the North County in high school and we didn't see much of that.

@retiredDep Agreed. I lived in suburbs of Tijuana for 3 years, between 2003-2006 and got out of there with my very life. I guess the police in Las Playas didn't like me trying to teach people their rights.
That will be the only time I will watch CNN and no more than 5 minutes to look at the map and their faces of course

@retiredDep Yep. Though I beat them at their game a couple times, that last time I was supposed to be in the trunk of that car. God sent me an angel named Junior to get me out of there.. he took me to a mission in Rosarito and the next day I was back in San Diego for good.

@Luchadora look porous the border is just follow the fence in TJ into the water around to the American side. When we were teens we would mess with the Border patrol. We would go over to Otay and into the canyons and their light would go off they come and we’re mad we made them come and we were Americans and not illegals lol
