NEW YORK (FOX5NY.COM) - A Long Island man is accused of threatening to kill a campaign worker for a Republican congressman and other supporters of the lawmaker and President Trump.
Cops in Suffolk County arrested Martin Astrof, 75, outside his home in Nesconset on Friday morning.
He had just left the campaign headquarters of Rep. Lee Zeldin, where he "became irate with a campaign worker" and threatened to kill him and other GOP supporters, police said.

One major expressway in Chicago has been shut down.
STERLING, VA (WJLA/CNN) – Police said 34-year-old Hassan Gailani used a phone app to track down two men he's accused of murdering two months ago.
According to a search warrant, Gailani was likely monitoring a group chat between the friends on the WhatsApp messaging platform.
Authorities said that's how he knew the men were at a late-night hookah lounge, where he allegedly shot them to death.
Police said they caught Gailani in his car, which had a Lyft sticker on it, when he tried to leave the area.
Police also said Gailani confessed to the crime, which is now believed to have been premeditated.
He's being held without bond.

BREAKING: The U.S. Marshals Service in Lubbock, Texas, said it arrested David Ramos Contreras, 28, who was wanted by the Bowling Green Police on two counts of rape and two counts of kidnapping of two underage girls.
NEW DETAILS: According to the U.S. Marshals, Contreras was deported back in October 2017. When he re-entered the U.S. has not yet been confirmed.
