His answer?
and he just called me.. and was like who is Dan Fogelberg? He said you have to understand that I walked away from all of that.. when I became a Christian.. and never looked back. The reason for that is because he was in a rock band..and heavy into drugs ect.. and he just left it all.
But he said that there a lot of good music from that time period
anyway.. I had a nice laugh about that
I said to him.. it's funny because I am just now opening my eyes to all other kinds of music.
Look at that @Groot You helped facilitate a conversation with my dad that I have never had LOL
Well yes of course. And, they need to be found. But that doesn't mean musicians that do quality music do not have there own demons to deal with in life like everyone else...doesn't mean they are lost lambs they just need to be tended to as part of the flock or brought back into he fold.
of course.. but at that time.. it treated it like.. someone who had an addiction to alcohol.. he walked away completely
Lots of great musicians started in gospel of faith music and lost there way on the commercialization path.
So I was raised on classical music and christian music. Which is fine.. I have no regrets nor do I blame my dad.
Yeah we were talking about that @Groot how so many changed their paths due to moneye ct
do you like violin?

Just as a side note.. I am thankful and grateful to be raised the way I was. strict, conservative, maybe in a bubble with some things.. but my parents loved us ..and we laughed all the time. I had an amazing child hood.
