omg i was watching 18th century cooking on the townsends youtube channel, man they had it rough in the kitchen, problems with build of up smoke from the fire they used indoors if the ventalation system wasn't properly built , to then different style kitchens where some were designed to cook on the floor , others designed a dutch oven top , it was so cool but they have more of my respects now

2019-09-04 15:39:46 UTC

made me glad and thankful for my indoor plumbing and electric stove lol

2019-09-04 15:39:49 UTC

2019-09-04 15:43:31 UTC

2019-09-04 15:44:22 UTC

@Gailm I remember my neighbor stove(s) also, they had two wood burners. TANKS. One was beautifully converted to gas. Those were pieces of art.

2019-09-04 15:44:43 UTC

grama would be up at 5 getting the stove started to cook breakfast/coffee

2019-09-04 15:46:06 UTC

that is so cool

2019-09-04 15:46:26 UTC

i often think about what it was like to have infants back then, man that must have been some hard work

2019-09-04 15:47:02 UTC

welp you didn't have a how to book

2019-09-04 15:47:03 UTC

make sure you have shelter, clothing , cloth diapers, water always there to keep your infant clean so it wouldn't get rashes or skin diseases
